I have finished transferring my collection of VHS tapes onto DVD for
which I used the ClimaxDigital VCAP800 (it's this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00466VIB4/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00).
The clips can be imported into iMovie and burnt onto DVD with iDVD.
Fairly time consuming but it works well. I also got the Scart adapter
pictured here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Scart-Adapter-Switchable-Plug-Socket/dp/B00077DC6A/ref=pd_sim_ce_1
since my video recorder only has Scart. Now that the job is done I
wonder if anyone is interested to take both items off my hands for £20
(plus postage if applicable).
BTW the VCAP800 comes with software for both Mac OS X and Windows, but
I only used the former.
BTW2 if you're in or near Edinburgh you can also collect my Panasonic
video recorder (free).
